Eg眉ez Guevara, P. (2025) has been selected and received accreditation to participate at the upcoming Festival de Cannes, in France, between May 13 and 20, 2025 as an accomplished professional in the film industry. The Festival de Cannes accreditation is exclusively reserved for professionals in the film industry who can provide evidence of recent professional activity and relevant updates within a set of professional categories related to film. 


Eg眉ez Guevara, P. (2025)  "In Defense of Traditional Foods" (En defensa de las cocinas tradicionales) published in English and Spanish has been selected for inclusion in an anthology by Col&Col recognizing the best food writers in Spain and Latin America during 2024. 


Delivered a public lecture on July 9 via Zoom for the National Sporting Library and Museum in Middleburg, VA titled 鈥淪prezzatura: Noble Negligence in Renaissance Music and Horsemanship.鈥  

Nina Emery was elected President of the Philosophy of Time Society for 2023-2026.


Was elected President of the Society for the Metaphysics of Science for the year 2022-2023, and will give the Presidential Keynote Address at the society's 2023 conference.


On April 4, 2025, Ombretta Frau delivered a talk on "Alvise Zorzi e la polemica sui restauri della Basilica di San Marco" at the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti ("Cultura letteraria e arti a Venezia dalla Restaurazione alla fine del XIX secolo")


On March 7, 2025, Ombretta Frau gave a talk on 鈥淪an Michele: a Venice Experiment between Life and Death鈥 at the NEMLA conference in Philadelphia.


On March 14, 2025, Ombretta Frau gave a talk on 鈥淪tationery Shopping on the Way to Autonomy and Emancipation鈥 at the American Association for Italian Studies conference at the University of Pennsylvania.


On March 6, 2025, Ombretta Frau delivered a lecture at the America Italy Society of Philadelphia: "Venice鈥檚 San Michele. A Cosmopolitan Memoryscape."


On February 24, 2025, the Georgetown University Department of Italian Studies invited Ombretta Frau to deliver a lecture on 鈥淕iorgia Meloni and the Rebranding of Italian Fascism鈥.
