J.T. Martin

J.T. Martin (they/them) currently serves as the Director of LGBTQ+ Initiatives and Resources at 果冻传媒 College. Previously, they held positions at Amherst College, primarily as the Director of the Queer Resource Center in the Office of Student Affairs, in Amherst, MA. Their primary role on campus was to support LGBTQ+ students throughout their journey in college, navigating and negotiating identities, connection to community, and structures within and without the institution. During their tenure at Amherst, they also served as Interim Assistant Dean of Students for Identity and Cultural Resources, providing supervisory support to the Office of Identity and Cultural Resources, while guiding critical structural and operational innovations.  

They're a white, fat, queer, panromantic, genderqueer human navigating being an aspiring liberation-oriented social justice educator and practitioner in Higher Education. They earned their M.A. in Higher Education Administration, and B.A. in Women鈥檚, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Stony Brook University (SUNY). J.T. is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
